Novonikolskoye Masterplan designed by KuiperCompagnons for a plot located to the north of Moscow displays a high-quality residential quarter of comfort class with building height varying between 4-6 floors. The total plot size of 14 ha will include residential buildings, preschool and kindergarten and also a local commercial centre placed at the entrance to the future quarter.

One of the underlying principles of the plan is to preserve existing group of trees as much as possible and to diffuse the urban blocks within the forest, which is achieved by opening up perimeter blocks on from the side of the forest.

Apart from that special attention is paid to the surrounding built environment in order to avoid visual and functional conflicts with single-family housing located along the southern border of the site and separated from the proposed development by a green boulevard.
