Dentistry Radboud University
Nijmegen – The core of the university world is the development and sharing of knowledge.Rest and reflection in the design are necessary for the dissemination and incorporation of knowledge.
By removing all unnecessary space elements and allowing daylight and views, peace is created. Open spaces, such as widened corridors and work zones, provide opportunities for interaction. Existing rooms, which are largely vacant, become open workplaces, alternated by activity-related workspaces (collaboration, concentration, practical practice). The heart of the building is filled with a living room / working café, which functions as a generator of spontaneous encounters. This makes interaction between students, teachers and also patients possible.
